Leading Workplace Strategies came to Cygnus with the goal to develop culturally inclusive environmental graphics for their newly renovated Ministry for Children and Families office space. I developed a concept for the space inspired by the local First Nations connection to land and water. After consultation with indigenous groups, I developed feature wall graphics based on locations, plants and animals culturally significant to the Okanagan people. West Bank First Nation supplied blurbs to speak to these stories, and the Syilx language was incorporated into titles and territorial acknowledgements.
